Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Chocolate chips and bananas, a classic combo that just works. Banana breads are my favorite because they just come out 10x more moist from the mashed bananas.

Might I add... A banana bread that the kids will love! Trust me on this one.

I made the banana nut bread one day and my nephews were not a fan. They are just not a fan of nuts.

I knew they would love the chocolate chips instead. Gone in one day. SO easy to make! I love it!


Chocolate Chip Banana Bread


Ingredients

  • 1 ⅔ all purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp kosher salt

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 1 stick unsalted room temperature butter

  • 2 eggs

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup milk

  • 3 ripened bananas, mashed

  • ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips


Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9 inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.

  2. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt and baking powder. Set aside.

  3. Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream the room temperature butter and sugar until combined, then add the eggs, vanilla extract and cinnamon.

  4. Start pouring in the flour mixture and milk in batches until all combined.

  5. Mix in the mashed bananas and chocolate chips and pour into the baking pan.

  6. Bake for about 70 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
