Peanut Butter Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips

Updated: Jan 30, 2021

Current snack that I enjoy eating are sliced bananas topped with almond or peanut butter. It's a great pre workout snack for a little boost of energy. This bread may or may not be the best idea to have before a workout.

Lets rewind back to where I had a lightbulb moment... It dawned on me. I've had my fair share of banana breads. But, not a banana bread like this.

There's no need for pancakes or waffles on a weekend morning, this loaf just does the trick. It's the perfect amount of sweetness from the bananas, plus the nutty peanut butter and it's SO soft and sorta gooey. It just has this superb moist texture. I knew my family would love it! Family ratings are eights, nines, and tens out of ten! Yes, some are my toughest critics. If you're a peanut butter and banana fan, you'll love this!

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp kosher salt

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup milk

  • ⅓ cup creamy peanut butter

  4. Start adding in the flour mixture and milk in batches until all combined.

  5. Fold in the mashed bananas and chocolate chips into the batter and pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

  6. Bake for 60- 65 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
