Edemame are protein packed, bite size appetizers or snacks to eat. They can take on many flavors and my sauce in particular is spicy, garlicky, salty, and slightly sweet. They are going to have you going in for more. These ingredients are staples in almost any pantry or fridge. All you need is soy sauce, honey, sriracha, garlic, and chile garlic sauce.
This appetizer will sure be a crowd pleaser!
Spicy Garlic Edemame
Yield: 6 servings
Ingredients
2 packs 8 oz frozen edemame
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
1 tsp Chile garlic sauce
1 tsp honey
1 ½ tsp sriracha
¼ tsp kosher salt
¼ tsp pepper
Directions
Fill a medium size of water (2 cups) and set to boil. Add the frozen edemame and let boil for about 5-7 minutes. Meanwhile, whisk together the minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, sriracha, chili garlic sauce, salt and pepper.
Drain the edemame, let cool.
Heat a large skillet on medium and pour the sauce. Allow it to come to a simmer for a minute or so.
Add the edemame and sauté to coat all around for about 5 minutes. Serve
